I installed the drivers for my ati 9600 (averatec p4 3ghz 512 ddr) and I can't seem to get ANY kind of preformance out of this thing. Any suggestions, how exactly do you over clock the video card?? Im lost here. The preformance seem to bit hit and miss with LIGHT gaming. For a reference point the only games I am playing are Nascar 2004, Call of Duty and Battlefield Vietnam... Any suggestions?

right click on desktop, go properties, settings tab, advanced button, then you will see abunch of stuff which is editable, the main thing that you seem to be looking for will be the advanced 3d tab. i think you should be able to figure it out from there. be warned about overclocking too much however, you can easily over heat the thing and burn it out and possibly damage something else. I've had the odd graphics glitch, but it has seemed to handle what i play extremely well, from need for speed 3, titanic (which has a lot of high res graphics for extreme detail of the Titanic). another thing you can do is go start, programs, omega drivers, advanced SMARTGART, and click on retest all. you will need to restart the computer, and if all works fine, it should better optimize itself for graphics. Remember that the hd is a slower (4200 rpm i believe, but i could be wrong, but i don't think i am) on this model, and that will affect performance of the whole computer.

And to add to that, the best aquamark 3d score I can seem to manage is 13,857. That seems LOW compared to what others have posted.

i don't know, like i said, mine has always been set to 8x, maybe it has to do with other settings in the advanced 3d tab, maybe not. Side question, is Fast write on for you?, b/c mine isn't. that might be making a difference, then again maybe not. i really don't know.

OK stupid question then! HOW did you get it to set to that? Everytime I try to enable some agp setting, the radcom drivers say they need to reboot to "test" the setting then after reboot its all reset to no agp!!! What am I doing wrong?

Well, the PCI Fast Write is on, it always defaults to that...when I turn that off and turn the agp fast write on, it reboots and its back to pci. Haven't tried leaving them both off. When the apg is off I can't adjust the little slider for agp bus speed. And I can never get apg to stay on after a reboot.
