I have CF 6970s and I see in the CCC "AMD optimized" for tessellation and "enable surface optimizations." These settings seem to drastically affect FPS. So my question is that in DX11 games if I have the AMD Optimized unticked, will I have NO DX11 benefits?

Secondly, what is "enable surface format optimization"

They are controls on certain effects within DX11, if you untick them I believe everything is dictated by the game, if you keep it on then the drivers will ensure that surfaces are not over tesselated.

I believe the surface optimisations would apply to flat surfaces so they are not tesselated, but I am just guessing.
