I wanted to play Fable on a small trip tomorrow, Only need the battery to last like 1 hour... Not a problem there.

But.. The performance is horrible without my laptop(XPS 1530) plugged in.

As a test.. I have the setting on ''High performance''. Everything is maxed on Fable.. I will have the game running.. Smooth. Unplug the power while playing, And it slows to a slide show.

Whats wrong, Did I miss something simple?

    Thanks!

You need to reset the performance you want while you're on battery. When you set it to Max in AC, it will only do that while on AC. Different profile are save for AC and battery mode. But don't be surprise if you get half or less of your normal battery time.

Can you live with lower graphics settings? Thats what I would suggest.

Check and see if there is a separate performance setting for the GPU.

Check under your nVidia Control Panel. May want to post your problem in the Dell section. Other Dell user maybe able to help you out.

I just put my M50SV on battery and run Mass Effect with Max Performance and there was no noticable difference compare to running on AC.

Still haven't figured it out... It even will lag at some of the lowest settings.. This is weird.

I will post in the Dell section now.
