Just wondering if anyone here on NBR is getting this game. Looks pretty cool and although its got mixed reviews from players who've played it already in UK, etc, I'm thinking of getting it after looking through steam's "coming soon" section for a game to play over summer. :D (Originally it was supposed to be Deus Ex but NO! They had to delay it :( Maybe Red Faction: Armageddon also if it is any good.) I also heard that the release in US is really supposed to help the devs and the sales.

I don't normally come out and tell others not to play a game because it is awful, but I will now. The game is terrible. It is steps back from Dragon Rising and that game was average at best.

The commands, the movement of characters and the overall fell are very consolish and the game feels very cheap. The worst apect of the game is how linear it is. Atleast in dragon rising it was somewhat sandbox, Red River is completely linear and feels very muched forced to be that way.

The last one was so awful there is no way I am touching the consolized mess again.

I haven't played this one yet, but I hear bad things about it. I gave the first one a shot for about 3 hours and did not like it. Normally I'm all for games like this, but Dragon rising was very poorly executed, it felt overly consolized, and the main part that I cared about, the COOP, was completely botched and a laggy mess. I gave it some time, came back to try it again a few months later and nothing changed.

Dragon Rising is horrible to the ground. The controls were clunky, it was badly optimized and just not a direct comparison with the previous OPFlash series. ARMA I and II are infact much better than these newer OPFlash games.

Red River is no better; I've seen Dev videos about them and frankly...nothing spectacular. Nothing that triggered my excitement. Consolized as well. Wonky controls from first glance like Dragon Rising, and very linear map system, unlike the full sized maps in the predecessors. Vehicles can't be mounted whenever (scripted vehicles only).
