I've had no joy posting in the Dell section of the forum thus far, and so I thought I'd try my luck here.

I'm not able to update the GT555m which accompanies my XPS 17, since the driver does not detect it. It seems my system is operating on the Intel onboard despite the fact I've set the global preferences to utilize the dedicated GPU.

Also, the Windows Experience Index rates graphics as 5.7 instead of 6.9, which most other XPS 17 owners appear to be reporting.

Are there any possible solutions, such as customised drivers or perhaps a bios update?

    Many thanks.

I have the same WEI problems with my optimus. I'll definitely watch to see how this pans out.
