Hello
I've just purchased an Optoma HD67N 3D HD Projector, which is amazing i must add, coming from a business projector with a resolution of 800x600 to 720p is superb, wataching HD movies on a 100" screen is fantastic.
My question is, can i get my ATI card to perform 3D with the projector? the projector is actually Nvidia 3D vision certified, as i don't have Nvidia, i thought another solution such as IZ3D drivers might work?
I am planning on getting a 3D-XL adapter at some point, but would like my pc games and movies to be in 3D with the DLP link glasses.
Any info would be great!

all you need to do is this
1) connect the projector to the laptop via vga
2) set the refresh rate via CCC to 120hz
3) download DDD or iz3d drivers
4) buy shutter glasses
5) play -
Thanks for the reply, would this also work with movies? .mkvs which are 3D?
Any would any active glasses work such as these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Samsung-S...DStorage_SM&hash=item2eb621a9e9#ht_547wt_1139

720p stretched over 100 inches? Not really high def.

1080/720p movies look amazing, to my 42" 1080p LCD, there is no comparison, at the size of the screen it look's wonderful.
I really can't complain, home cinema is fantastic.
Here are a few pictures:
I'd say they looked hi def, no? and the camera doesn't even do them justice. -

Sorry if it came across as a bit harsh
it looks good, a good projector at a lower resolution will be better than a naff 1080p one, but the size does make a difference (Depending on how far away you are sitting of course). I tend to be quite picky about my resolution though

I'm interested in 3D material as well so this projector was the choice for me, and yea i usually sit quite as far as i can without losing quality -

The Optoma HD20 is fantastic, quite inexpensive and 1920x1080 resolution.
It is not possible to use either of these for 3D, because they cannot scale to double the amount of pixels necessary for 3D. -
And yes the Optoma HD67N is 3D ready Projector, and it's 3D Vision Nvidia certified.

120Hz frame sequential 3D for resolutions up to 720p. 60Hz field sequential 3D for resolutions up to 480i -
A resolution of 1280x720 has a fixed amount of pixels (921600). Filling larger areas with the same amount of pixels mean less image sharpness.
But yes, it does look great and what it ends up looking like is largely dependent on its use. For movies viewed at a distance it will appear fine, for editing text document up close, maybe not so much. -
And the odd gaming here and there will also looks great, i don't see myself editing text files and doing work processing on it, i have a 22" monitor for that lol, but browsing the web on it is also perfectly fine and crisp. -
Either way 720 for a projector is fine mine looks fantastic but i have the urge to try it out with the Kinect, its not like youll be sitting 12 inches away from a 100" wall like you would a 720 computer screen.
