Link's doesn't work, but if this is true, bye bye Gamestop preorder.

Awesome, I think I'll be picking up The Orange Box.
FYI, CC usually sells games for $40 during the week of there release. I always go there to get my games. I got STALKER, Bioshock, and C&C 3 this way.
$38 is even better, especially considering how many games come with the Orange Box (granted we already have some of them).
Speaking of shooters, there are so many coming out that I am looking forward too. Check out IGN's list:

so they are officially out as of today, correct?
-
Orange Box isnt, its out on the 9th.
Quake Wars is out. -
i'd consider buying quakewars if they patch it and add voip, the demo played like a beta or something. even though i'm getting very solid framerates on high settings the graphics look flat, and the game feels... off.

I could not be more excited about Half Life 2 Episode Two.
I just hope they don't mess it up!!! -
I'm completley new to the Half Life series, so I'm looking at the Orange Box as a huge value. I'm not quite familiar with everything inside of it though. Which parts do most people already own? And what are your impressions of those?
The new multiplayer game looks great. It has a lot of style and personality for the characters which will make it a lot of fun. -
I already own Half Life 2 and Episode One so it was a bummer when I pre-purchased the Orange box but for 44.95 it was one heck of a deal. If you were to purchase all three games separately they would be 29.95 a piece so spending 44.95 for games I already own isn't a bad deal to me. Half Life 2 and Episode one are the best games in gaming history in my humble opinion. I'm sure Portal will be fun to play. I haven't tried TF2 yet.

It might be released later on steam after the Orange box is released. I know you can purchase Half Life 2 Episode 2 separately but you can only buy it on steam.
-
You will get massive value.
Half Life 2 is widely regarded as one of the best games ever made, and has the highest average review score of any PC game. Episode One is also insanely amazing and I would definately recommend it. The three new games will probably also blow your socks off, but I can't say for sure until they have been released.
In short, if you are going to buy any game at all, go for the Orange Box. -
The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
Black box was cancelled I believe.

guys, just tried out quake wars final release with the new patch and it works great! 1280*800, all hi + af 8 and aa2, can probably push it a lil more....had some programs running in the background as well. it's a pretty decent game!

Never was a fan of quake, the demo wasn't half bad though.
