    Orange Box Problem...DVD Rom Not Detecting It

    Hi guys...i need some serious help. I bought orange box today and inserted it in my DVD rom but nuthin happened. I tried other DVDS and they r working perfect. I then tried orange box DVD on my friend's laptop and it detected it straight away. I dunno what to do. I have tried system restore as well just in case but it didnt help. I had also tried inserting old half life 2 dvd and episode 1 dvd and my dvd rom can easily detect em. Any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

    Very strange---no idea on how to get it to recognize, but you can just use the activation code (in the box) to activate all 5 games on Steam + download the content. Slower than using the DVDs, but once done, it'll work. The disks are just to save time from downloading the content off Steam anyway......

    Have you tried exploring the dvd (Right click on dvd drive --> Explore) and running the setup file manually? It sounds like an autorun issue to me.
