So anyone who has both can tell me?
I have played the demo of COD4 and loved it, but I also played the S$#T out of HL2 and loved it as wel... (ahvent played episode 1 yet)... what would you suggest.. it's a tough decision

I got both and right now COD4 is the best. Can't beat the online even though TF2 is fun, COD4 is out of this world

I guess it depends on whether you're going for online or not, but Orange Box kicks arse!

Both games are great. If cost is your deciding factor then Orange Box will be $25 from Circuit City on Black Friday. If not, then flip a coin.

I reckon it's basically down to whether you want to play TF2 or CoD4 online. Your choice ;) Yep, it is a rather difficult one.

LOL, I want both of them to! But to damn cheap to buy games cuz they'll just be dust collectors in a week or two.

Well if you played the **** out of HL2 like I have and can't get enough, go for orange box, because you get like 4 games with it? Pretty bang for the buck right?

But if you love COD, go for it.. only crappie part is it's just one game versus getting 4 with orange box for the same price.

First play and finish Orange Box then Call of Duty 4,value and replay-ability of half life 2 with 5 games (HL2,Episode 1.Episode 2,Team Fortress 2.Portal)in one is more better than the short single player campaign of cod 4.When you have finished all orange box games and you're tired of them cod 4 will be on budget series :)

That's a tough decision you have. I have both, and love them both. I would recommend COD4 though. While the single player campaign is short, it is amazing to say the least, and has high replay value. Multiplayer is supposedly good as well, but I have COD4 for PS3, not PC, so I can't make a direct comparison. It is definitely a lot of fun on PS3 though.

On the other hand, the Orange Box is one of the best deals of all time. The HL2 games are obviously good, but I personally don't find them anywhere near as enjoyable as COD4. But TF2 is also great fun online, and I would venture to say more fun than COD4. Although, I haven't played enough of COD4 online to say completely one way or another.

If money is an issue, the Orange Box is on sale at Best Buy for $25, and at Circuit City for $35 on Black Friday.

You can probebly find them both for about 25$ eACH on black friday.. If your willing! About the two, they're too different! HL2, ep1, ep2, TF2, portal is definately a better deal and are extremely fun, but so is COD4..

I haven't seen any ads for Call of Duty 4. The cheapest price I could find (and is what I bought it for) is $39.99 on Amazon. Also, it qualifies for free shipping, and if don't live in KS, KY, ND or WA, then no sales tax either :)

    Yes please, both.......... :D
Well I have The Orange Box, played through it and it's great, and I just got hold of CoD4, played the first mission, and it's great. Haven't tried th mp bit yet.
It all depends, they'r both excellent games. If you want a straith fps with a great multiplayer section, according to everyone else around this forum, go for cod4.
If you want to know what happens to Gordon Freeman and Alyx, go for Orange box. AND it also has a great multiplayer game called TF2 AND a short but sweet minigame called Portal.
BUT if you can afford it, get both :D

It really is personal preference. I have them both and I don't even play Orange Box anymore but I love COD4. Orange has more games, probably keep you occupied longer, maybe I'll go back to it after I'm sick of COD4 --> hopefully never :)

it rele depends on ur background in games. if you liked Counterstrike/cs:s... you may actually like COD4 better (kinda paradoxical... since the ppl who make orange box made cs... yes im saying not to pick :p... anywayz...)
The storyline/gamepay imo is better in the orange box, Especially if uve been following it (between everything u learn in HL2:Ep.2 and the link of portal to it) COD4 campaign tho... :-/ very fast.... but lots of action. Storyline wasnt rele anything more than winning a battle against a main villain.
they're both good.. i chose orange box tho...

it depends on u, orange box is bang for the box 5 games for 50 bucks or less. orange box has multiplayer fun (TF2) and single player fun (HL2 series). COD4 is just plain fun. :)
