Battlefield 1 $35.99. Among some others. I guess it's time I bought BF1.

IDK, the game is not for me, but you might like it. Question of taste

BF1 is good, by far, since the latest spur of BF cra* they've put out... but compared to the real original old school BF games. It is sh**.
Otherwise nice, very nice.TBoneSan, Spartan@HIDevolution and Atma like this. -

After playing through COD IW, Battlefield 1 was a life saver for me. I only play campaigns, no multiplayer and this was the 1st COD I didn't like at all. Battlefield 1 for me is much more enjoyable. Glad I bought it. Really enjoying it.Atma likes this. -
For some reason, BF1 isn't holding my attention the way BF3/4 did, and I actually prefer the WWI setting to modern day stuff...
Maybe it's the maps. Everything just seems less lively.Atma likes this. -

Is Star Wars Battlefront worth buying?
Just the Standard Edition ofc.
Considering NFS15 too.
EDIT: Okay nevermind, f*** Origin

Same here. I played the hell out of BF3 and BF4 despite the glitches and issues. This one just doesn't hold my attention, and I also was looking forward to WWI theme. I feel now they do their stuff half-ass. Battlefront was the same way. Was fun at first but got tiring real quickly. I thought the hit detection and overall gameplay was more solid than BF1 too.

I definitely agree that Battlefront had tighter gameplay than BF1. For starters, it felt more consistent in terms of what would happen if conditions A and Y were met. BF1 feels more unpredictable which I guess can be fun but sometimes also frustrating.
But like BF1, Battlefront also got boring quickly. I don't think it was any fundamental issue with the game design; it's just a shallow game with minimal strategy, and what strategy there is was neutered by matchmaking.
I can't really pinpoint what the issue is with BF1, though. At times it can be frustrating, but so could BF 3/4, especially with all the little niggles and bugs. But personally for me I think it may be the maps.
Like, I used to look forward to playing Seine Crossing, Giants of Karella, and a few others. I'd get excited knowing they would be fun to play. Currently with BF1, the only map I actually enjoy consistently is Sinai, but I already played that to death in the beta.
Actually, to be honest with you, as I think about it, one of the issues may be that maps are too dark. Like, Sinai is the only truly bright map currently.Last edited: Dec 24, 2016jaug1337, hmscott, HTWingNut and 1 other person like this. -

Origin is great. And when I have had trouble, EA customer support has been light years better than that of Valve.

Yeah. While I don't agree with some of the way they do things with their games, their store service is actually quite good.
