Origin is being stupid, yet again.
If I try to open the program, the mouse pointer turns, and then nothing happens. I wanted to try to uninstall, but the uninstaller just hangs there after the progress bar fills up about 1/10th.
Any help here will be greatly appreciated

Try reinstalling it (in the same location) first then uninstalling maybe?

I suggest using Revo uninstaller (preferably in safe mode) to remove every trace of Origin from your machine. And if you can help it, never reinstall it either
. But yeah, try that program first, make sure you delete all the registry entries and all that. Then when you're finished, go in your appdata folders and look through "Local" and "Roaming" for anything "origin" or "ea" that has anything to do with Origin, and then delete it too. Then restart for good measure, and if need be try reinstalling Origin from a new download of its client setup which you would probably want to run as administrator to make sure it goes smoothly.

Also try scanning your computer for virus' and malware.

Just be careful and don't go HAM with the Registry cleaner in Revo. It's very powerful but can be quite destructive in the wrong hands, just like CCleaner. "With great power comes great responsibility."

I've never had any issues with CC Clearner.. I always automatically let it check for errors and fix it... 5 years I've been doing that and never had a problem!

If you have installed games that you own from Origin, you don't have to use it in order to play them.
You can use this no-origin mod: Outcome - Freedom for your Games!
Or this PAR patcher for older games: Origin Requirement Remover - by NoFaTedeadsmiley and D2 Ultima like this. -
If he does that it will quarantine Origin.

I had to go in and manually delete the Origin keys. Took over an hour to get that POS software installed. It is now working.

The same situation with my systems
No issues .
Origin won't start, and it won't uninstall
