Are there any other methods to OC the core, memory and shader clocks on an NVIDIA card without using System Tools? I heard something like rivatuner or something like that?
The program is being dumb right now, recommending I downclock my card by 50 points on every slider, when I try to move my core from default 500MHz to 501MHz it says GPU Clock test failed! or something. I just overclocked all 3 sliders over 300 points before reinstalling the OS and now it won't let me do it =/.
Thanks a lot!

I use rivatuner on my desktop, but it has an old pcx5300. I haven't tried to overclock my laptop.

I use riva tuner to clock my desktop computer-- It's one of my favorite gpu overclockers.
never tried to overclock a laptop with it, but it should work fine -
I'm guessing RivaTuner doesn't support my driver, there's no button or tab anywhere for System Tweaks so I can't find access to the core/mem sliders
I will try to see if Coolbits or EVGA Precision software lets me overclock easily. *Edit: Fail, don't even know wdf coolbits does, EVGA says no hardware supported. -
Does anybody know if / how I could over clock my ATI HD 2600? Would RivaTuner work with that...? I probably sound stupid, but I've never over clocked any of my computers components.

What the hell? Just reinstalled NVIDIA System Tools, let me overclock core by +292MHz, mem by +149MHz, and shader by +451MHz so thats good, and when I try to DOWNCLOCK that to lower numbers for the hell of it it says the test failed, this program is so buggy -_-.

Have you tried ATI tool? It's what I use.

ATI tool for an NVIDIA Quadro M card? Is that safe? Lol
-
lol only one way to find out!

Yes, despite the name, ATI Tool can be used for nVidia cards.
Other methods to overclock besides NVIDIA System Tools?
