    Hello,

First of all, I haven't come here to start another pc/mac war. I am a PC kid and I've been playing with them since I was 13 (15 now).

I'm going to get my hands on a haswell macbook pro retina with a 2gb gt 750m. It's my choice, and I want people to respect that.

My question is, can we still overclock the GPU using bootcamp and afterburner like we could before? Because now, apparently, we have to create a .bat file to overclock, because of Nvidia TurboBoost.

Can I overclock with MSI Afterburner?

    Cheers from France!

    Yes

And you can melt it at the same time!

PS: stop wasting money and get something that's usable

Thanks for the quick response. i know people disagree, as I myself do. My options go towrds the new Macbook Pro or the 17 inch Razer Blade. Personnaly, I would have gone for the blade without hesitation. But because we live in China, the blade can't be shipped there, and my friend who has one is having terrible problems with warranty support from China, I only go to France once or twice a year. My father doesn't feel like having to deal with that ( IF FATHER SAYS SO :p ), so I'm going to have to "settle" with the RMBP, which isn't as bad as most think anyways.

    Anyway, thanks again!

I can't believe even though you took the time to write a nice note you still get internet snark..

You should be able to oc still, just watch the thermals. I doubt anyone has the new one in their hands yet or has had time to tinker to confirm as it released yesterday.

The quater res of 1600x900 is an ok target for that GPU, I would image it should still work.

Please do your research before commenting. The Retina MacBook Pro has vastly improved thermals compared to the previous non-Retina models.

You should be able to, the last one was overclockable to some extent. There is a good chance the 750M in the MBP will already be a little OCed (like the 650M in the 2012 MBP was "equivalent" to 660M), so not sure how much headroom you will have left. Good luck!
