I can play crysis fine with my 8600m gt at 711/901 for hours on end, but with some games, even if i overclock to 600/800, they'll crash instantly. does anyone know what the problem could be?

Drivers most likely. I just had this happen to me with Mass Effect, I played about 12 hours of it on 174.74 at 600/500 with no problems at all, then I went back to 174.16 since they ran better for me in TF2, and now Mass Effect crashes on me randomly, even with no overclock. So yeah, drivers make a big difference.

Me? I run 600/500 (DDR2) no matter the game, it runs stable in everything I've played, except Mass Effect on 174.16.

This totally happened to me when I updated to Rivatuner v2.08. I reinstalled v2.06 and the problem went away. No more crashes!

    Hope that helps.

By the way... I'm using 169.28
