Ok, I just overclocked to 620/930 and I got a score of 7942. I'm getting that clicking noise in my AC adapter I've heard people talk about. I don't know if this was confirmed, but is this bad? Do I have to buy a new AC adapter to overclock?

I think it seems that your laptop is power hungry...seeing that score of 7000+ i think you have a gaming laptop. Might wanna ease up a bit on the overclocking if this persists...then again, it might be the AC which is faulty

I remember some one on here using a different AC adapter and the ticking went away. But I can't find the post anymore. But I also haven't been able to find out if this is a problem or just a normal thing.

Usually that ticking sounds come from pulling more power than the adapter is designed for. We'd have it happen somethings in digital electonics class. Never ruined a power supply doing this (limited experience and years ago), but I recall having them shut off sometimes.

Try an adapter with higher Watts
