I hear people say this alot

do they mean if you overclock your system will overheat
or do they just mean overclocking fries your card somehow

because i can overclock to nearly 700 GPU clock and my max temp 75* celcius wont change so as i understand it as long as my temps are low or below 85* and i dont get silly dots or line when i overclock ill be fine :)

Am i correct i am only 16 and i doubt my knowledge on this subject.

if you OC, and your temps stay in the safe zone (under 90C), then you should be fine.

Note: OC'ing the Core Clock can be monitored by programs..... while OC'ing memory clocks WILL NOT be monitored (since the video memory do not have temp sensors).

So watch the memory clock OC'ing since it can overheat and you wont know until artifacts start appearing.

If you OC and your temps are good and your computer is stable, then you are okay. OC'ing is just risky if you do not know what you are doing. OC'ing on the desktop is a little bit easier because you can get better aftermarket cooling solutions unlike notebooks. You are at the mercy of your notebook's stock cooling system.

you can continiue overclocing while you are still in thr safe zone....even if you do overheat, you laptop will shut down but remember to revert back to default clocks if your laptop shuts down due to overheating and also be advised that you are overclocking only to do gpu intensive tasks...remember to switch back to default clocks when you no longer have the need for gou intensuve tasks such as gaming...
