Forgive me if there is already a thread on this. but i did a quick search and couldn't find out the info i need.

Quite simply, I have an Inspiron 1520 with 8600M GT and i want to try some overclocking (of the Video Card)

What's the best way to go about this?

Basically, what drivers, Inf files, programs etc, do i need?

I have the laptopvideo2go page here and theres a bewildering amount of files, with very little help.

So if someone could list the files i need and how to quickly install them and get the OC working, I'd be Very grateful!

    Thanks in advance.

And futher apologies if this has been dicussed before - perhaps if it has, a link rather than a rebuke might be nice :)

First of all, the 8600GT is already a powerful card, why would you want to overclock it?

I want to know how to do that tooo, so thanks for the link youra. Any downsides to overclocking other than the card gets hot?

If you dont know what you are doing and over- overclock your GPU unit, it could overheat and burnout... But that site should tell you enough that you wont make that mistake
