Well, I have a laptop with a pretty low end graphic card, GeForce Go 7300

Yeh, I know the Go series suck, but I was wondering if there's any software/guide that can help me successfully tweak my graphic card just to gain those 5 extra fps in crysis. I can play it successfully fully on mainstream, but that extra bunch of fps would help a good deal

I have RivaTuner, but I'm not sure if this supports my graphic card, and messing around isn't my forte. If my laptop goes, I'm a goner too :D

So any suggestions? I have looked on google, and on youtube, but the settings they use don't seem to work for me :<

Any suggestions are useful, thanks :)

Seemingly, since I forced drivers through my graphics card, RivaTuner doesn't seem to be able to support them... maybe any posts out of 47 views? =/

5 extra frames in Crysis is a LOT to go for. How much would that be out of your current fps?

You will probably need different drivers.

Well seeing as an extra 5 frames in crysis will probably require a 5000% performance boost with your system (seriously!) then i'd have to suggest installing a liquid nitrogen cooling system before you attempt such an overclock.

Also if you could youtube us up a video of your lappy shooting into the sky after the explosion i'd, as i'm sure many others would, really appriciate it.

Crysis runs at, like, 17-20fps on 9800GTs. Good luck ;)

You can get a nice performance boost in less demanding games if you OC. Try nTune or its successor, nVidia System Tools. Overclocking your memory if it is on a tiny bus (64 bit) will definitely help some.

Hmm, I was getting that on completely low...

Bull**** me a bit more :) My friend acquired a 7 fps boost after ocing his desktop. I came with the idea of acquiring help, but trolling seems to be aplenty over here, enjoy and thanks magic

Try downloading the Nvidia Control Panel to overclock and Rivatuner to check your temps. Hope this helps. :)

The thing is... If you overclock, lets say, a 9800 20%, for example, the gain you'll get in a game like crysis will be ALOT more than if you do a 200% overclock in a card like the 7300... So don't expect to get the same result as your friend... With a GO7300 there's no too much room for improvement... Since the most you can onverclock a card without damage in a laptop is about 50% (with luck), the gain you'll get will be minimal...

Overclocking it's not a magical option that will turn a low end card in a med or high end card... It just help if your card already has good potencial...

Like Jstn7477 said, you could get a nice improvement, but in game alot less demanding than crysis...
Another thing, the 17~20 fps avg in the 9800 Gt's is all Very High, which is WAAAY different than getting 17~20 on all LOW...
