I read the Halogod2007's M.Radeon 3650 OC'ing guide
Well, I have a different model of Radeon than Halogod's but his and my laptop are almost the same.
He has the Asus M50 with Radeon 3650 w/ 1GB of VRAM
And I have Asus M51V with Radeon 3650 w/ 512 VRAM
I did the exactly the samething that Halogod posted except. I used Catalyst 8.8 instead of 8.5, but I don't think that rly matters.
But whenever I set the GPU clock to anything higher than the default clock, the computer crashes and immediately displays the bluescreen.
Any ideas or suggestions?
P.S
I'm also looking for a way to enable the turbocache on my graphic card. The specification said that the turbocahce can draw up to 1.2GB (1.7 total) of VRAM from the main memory. I have 4 GB of RAM, more than enough to spare some to the VRAM. Does anyone know how to enable this?

What program are you using to overclock? I have very little time at the moment (going to work). Try the latest AMD GPU Clock Tool v0.9.8. It has support for the newer ATi GPUs. v0.7 was a little buggy, but v0.9.8 seems much better.
Also, make sure Powerplay is set to 'Maximum Performance' or off. -
THANK YOU!!! My benchmark on gaming graphics just jumped from 4.8 to 5.1!!!

Hmm, but then, i have another problem. The GPU downclocks to default everytime i reboot. Is this supposed to happen?
-
the GPU downclocks when IDLE. and thats natural. but During gaming, its supposed to use full Clock speed.

yea u no longer need my guide since software for OCing has been updated, my method with new drivers will not work correctly
-
I am very curious how this card does in games - any feedback to share with us?
-
+1
Also, don't you lose the warranty when oc'ing? -
It's all software based so there's really no way to tell that you've been OCing. Now if you were to bust the laptop open to do some volt mods, that would be a different story.

Well, the HD 3650 has the same core configuration as the HD 2600, just smaller process (65nm to 55nm) and a higher clock speed. So I expect the Mobility HD 3650 will be the same as the desktop HD 2600 pro (both have a core speed of 600mhz), so you could have a look at some of the reviews for that (there are loads if you search Google). Though, often the review benchmarks are done with AA - which really cripples this card - so try and find benchmarks without AA to get a better idea how it performs.
But if you're buying the DDR2 version, then the memory speed in the Mobility version will be 400mhz (800mhz effective) instead of the standard 500mhz for the desktop, which will reduce the framerate by a few frames per second in some games. -
