Hi i recently using ati tool to overclock my grfx card default(380/420) which is quite low compared to other x1600 ive seen maybe due to how the manufacturer over my laptop does it?. Any i have CS:S on everything max 6x aa ,1200x800 etc and now get avg 10-15 more fps compared to before when it was clocked default i just wana no is there any risk in overclocking it (450/510) What ive got it on now like will it damage the grfx card or my laptop at all or decrease its overall life?

Also can overclocking it void my waranty?

1.) There is always some risk with overclocking; there is no such thing as a free lunch.
2.) With that said, you are probably OK as long as the computer gets adequate cooling and you are not running at outrageous speeds.
3.) Overclocking will void the warranty if the company finds out.

What temperatures are you getting. That's a fairly heftly core overclock for a laptop. Leave ati tool running for artifacts for at least 12-15 hours, and also keep an eye on those temps. Overclocking, especially on a laptop, can greatly reduce lifespan and unfortunately in a laptop this means the entire machine as opposed to just the X1600

As long as the temperatures are fine, your notebook should be fine. Strongly consider getting a notebook cooling pad to maintain good running temperatures. We have quite a few cooling pad reviews on this site; check the Cooling Guide for starters.
