    Hello my fellow laptop nerds,

After getting my M570RU, I have now managed to overclock my 8700M GT to 770/975, which results in an improvement of my 3DMark06 score from 4600ish to 5556 :p The temperature of the GPU doesn't seem to rise beyond 73C even with heavy pummeling, which seems fine to me.

Now I want to overclock the shaders a little bit, but RivaTuner won't let me do it.. I run XP SP2 and it doesn't show me the slider. This little hack ( http://www.guru3d.com/newsitem.php?id=5958) doesn't work either, so I'm suspecting the drivers.

At the moment, I'm still using the drivers that came from Clevo. I'd like to try a 16x.x driver, but laptopvideo2go doesn't seem to have a modded INF for XP for this series of drivers.. so.. my question is:

Do you run XP? Have you managed to OC your shaders? How? And using which drivers?

And.. has anyone managed to OC a 8700M GT reliably beyond 770/975? I seem to get system crashes if I try to go beyond these settings.

    Thanks for your help...

Which version of RivaTuner are you using? Try the latest one if you are not using it. With my 8800GTX I could not see the shader clock slider either until I did that.
