I ordered a Sony Vaio E series laptop yesterday which has a ati 5650 underclocked to 450mhz. Now I've heard that its possible to overclock it using AMDs gpu clock tool back to the 650mhz it should be. Does this mean that the clock rate of the gpu will always be set at that value or will it reset to 450mhz on restart?

Is there any way to make sure that the gpu stays overclocked always even on restart of windows?

If your Sony Vaio E notebooks cooling design can handle the extra heat, it should work.
Have no idea if it stays at the OC or reset each system restart.
Using ATI Catalyst OC on my desktop card the clocks stay after each restart, but its not a notebook. xD
