Those are some impressive results, this week's a busy one for me, so if I get the time I'll post some up as will.
-
you'll probably have better points because my notebook has only got 3gb ram and i'm using 32bit vista

Hi Cheeseman
I have a ASUS A8, i'm thinking on sell it and get the F8 ( ASUS F8 Series F8Sn-C1 )
But i see here :
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220272
that it have 800 front side bus.
why is only supporting DDR667 ram ?
can you let me know if those 4gb that you have are DDR800 or if it can get it ?
THANKS -
DDR2-800 RAM is not supported on any Intel notebook...fact of life. It will downclock to 667MHz.

Hello from Germany!
skipp3r which program you use for overclocking? I have tried with the newest riva tuner version and every time if I apply the settings it jumps back to default settings
My driver version is 174.93.
I hope you can help me. -
Whenever that happens to me, reinstalling the driver fixes the problem.
make sure you have drivers
control panel -> add/remove programs -> uninstall nVidia driver
restart in safe mode -> run driver cleaner pro
restart -> install new drivers
restart -
Here's the notepad file I've been saving for a while:

Awesome!!! The new driver (177.79) has corrected the fan, and it now adjusts with the GPU temp. and not just the CPU temp. So now my GPU is kept at 90C or below at max OC and I got 60 extra 3DMarks - F*ckin' sweet! This was exactly what I was waiting for.

Hi all,
hey mcurran, could you please tell me the process you've followed to oc your gpu??
I cannot OC my new 9600m GT (ACER 5930G) no matter the driver or the app I use to try it.
Cheers. -
oh ****, 5900 3DMarks? Can I drop one of these bad boys into an old G1S-X1?
-
Is overclocking really adviseable on Laptops? don't they really stress your battery and the laptop it's self?
-
The added battery stress is minimal. My laptop will probably lose a year of life, but its only a year old to begin with and I'm upgrading in 2 years anyway, so whatever. Mine doesn't get above 96C when OC'd so I should be fine.
-
I'm not sure of the clock speeds of my 9600M GT, if it's decent I'll leave it alone, I don't think I'll go take any big risks with my new £1k laptop!
