I know.
I did not say they still do... since I listed the models that were Clevos.
They stopped "coincidentally" shortly after I released the first Clevo Guide... guess they could not compete in pricing with the other numerous vendors/resellers selling the same notebook, but for cheaper.![]()
The Alienware went the exclusive notebook route, starting with getting exclusive models from Arima and now Quanta. Now they can charge whatever they want since those systems cannot be bought from other vendors.![]()

I don't disagree with you, from a gaming standpoint alone the 6860 is better bang for the buck.
But considering with the M860TU you get a way better CPU, DDR3 ram, a montevina platform, and a 15.4" package its hard to argue with the price/performance ratio of the overall machine. -
how much is student/military discount? do they give student + military discount?(both together)
-
the CPU is the last thing to worry about, its not like going to make a difference in most games, and as i keep saying in all of my replies, DDR3 will make no difference at its currunt stage. the 3870 will be probably a match for the 8800GTS, but IMO, the gateway is still a better bang for the buck.
-
The gateway is still better bang for buck. everything said in brainers post says it all. -
no doubt that the Gateway is better bang for the buck from a $1000-1500 budget.
For a $1500+ budget, I would now peg the Clevo M860TU to be the bang for the buck. -

I knew it was going to be better than the M15x... but not this good. -
The fx is better bang for the buck only for gaming, but as an overall performance machine in a portable package, i think the Clevo is unmatched right now. Btw, the Clevo weighs 7 something pounds! Kind of insane.

But when you see side views.. It's quite the fatty.
P-6860FX is no longer the best bang for buck?
