    I'm looking for an old PC Racing game that I could play online and I was wondering if anybody has played Need For Speed: Most Wanted before?

    The reason I'm looking to play this really old game is that I have a friend who has a computer that lacks performance:

    His Computer:
    OS: Vista 32bit Home Premium
    Screen: 15.4 inches @ 1280x800
    CPU: Intel Dual Core T2310 @ 1.46GHZ
    Video: Intel Mobile Express 965
    RAM: 2.0 gigs

    My Computer:
    OS: Vista 32bit Ultimate
    Screen: 13.1 inches @ 1600x900
    CPU: Intel Dual Core P9500 @ 2.53GHZ
    Video: nVidia 9300m GS with 256mb
    RAM: 4.0 gigs

    I've heard that NFS: MW was NFS: Carbon were the last 2 great NFS games before the series went to the gutter. I know that NFS: MW was released sometime in 2005 before Carbon, so it should play pretty well after 4 years now right?

    Anyways, that was my suggestion, but basically looking to buy 2 copies of a racing game that we could play online together

    It needs to be so that we could customized he car visually & mechanically, with a pretty decent selections of car to choose and a variety of tracks to play

    His computer is kind of weak compared to yours. Try playing Trackmania, its the best free racing game. Its quite fun too, hopefully it works on his computer.

    Much older titles, but great multiplayer fun if you can find them:

    - Need for Speed Porsche Unleashed
    - Midtown Madness

    I also second Trackmania, however. Great fun and simple racing game.

    nice, i found the "system requirements" for NFS: MW

    Code:
    Need for Speed Most Wanted will need the following PC system requirements.

    CPU: 1.4 GHz or faster
    RAM: 256 MB or more
    Disc Drive: 8x or faster CD/DVD drive
    Hard Drive: 3 GB or more free space
    Video: DirectX 9.0c compatible
    Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible
    Input: Keyboard, mouse, or USB Steering Wheel/Gamepad

    Video card with 32 MB or more memory and one of these chipsets is required:
    ATI Radeon 7500 or greater;
    ATI Radeon Xpress 200;
    NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/GTS or greater;
    Intel 950/i915g;
    S3 GammaChrome S18 Pro

    Multiplayer requires 1 set of discs per PC and a broadband (Cable, DSL, or faster) connection.
    Internet or LAN (2-4 players)

    This might be an obvious question, but is his graphic's card going to work?

    His is a Intel Mobile Express 965, is that equivalent to a Intel 950?

    NFS MW should run well on your computer, its a really fun game. but if u take racing a little more seriously, try out GRID, it should run on lowest settings and it still looks decent

    Edit: I doubt any of my suggestions will work for "his" computer. try your luck with NFS hot persuit 2, should work. good but old game. still looks decent

    I'm not digging the trackmania because we both really want to customize real-life cars and race them online against each other =/

    Do you think his computer can pull of medium settings for NFS:MW? Or do you think those requirements are for low-end computers and his computer will chug along slowly with them?

    Chug along slowly IMO, get one copy for now and install it on the slow one first.

    If you are into rally simulations Richard Burns Rally is the best ever. If you are more into arcade racing game then try juiced and Nfs series and something in between would be Colin Mcrae Rally 2005 and TOCA 2/3.
