Most of if not more than half of the PC gamers in my school are downloading there games off of pirating, torrents etc.
If you are a pc gamer how is Degrading the system and downloading the games make you a true gamer.
HOW the heck do you expect to keep playing these games if all you do is download then and expect them to be good, without supporting the company.
How can you expect quality games when the Developers aren't getting what theyd deserve from the game.
I hate it when i hear that try it before you buy it...
W8 for the review and watch some game play videos you douche bag.
that my little rant.
PC GAMERS ARE'nt real PC GAMER IF YOU DON'T SUPPORT THE INDUSTRY
-
/end rant.
Degrading the system? Explain?
I'm pretty sure pirated games out there are ISO's of the original discs, or RIPs. No degrading at all. -
I can see this getting closed in a split-second.

That said, I buy games I think deserve the money. That said, I own a lot of games. That said, I've played a lot more games than I've owned. But I don't generally pirate, I just borrow a friend's or whatever.
Oh, and BTW, after spending thousands of dollars on PC games over the years, I think I should be allowed to "try before I buy." Honestly, if the only way is pirating, I understand why people do it. -
I think it'll get closed too :/
-
this is going to get Closed and my post probably deleted...and just before it does get closed people who pirate aren't going to buy it anyway. that's 50 dollars that's food for 2 weeks so you need to shut up and say real gamers buy games because where not all rich like you who can buy games when ever the fudge they want. most people have to plan out what they do with there money also the developers aren't losing money that's all a lie for them to screw over people who buy the game with drm. we..i mean the piraters support the industry but we aren't all rich like you and can't buy games and probably never will
-
these ppl wouldnt buy the game anyways, there is no loss to the company what so ever.
If more quality games at a right price were released, than more and more ppl would buy them. -
If games were priced lower sales, would increase, but profit margin would stay relatively the same depending on how well the game sells.
-
meh most (as in 95%) of games these days suck balls....good old games FTW....other than EVE which is an MMORPG the rest are all old school strategy games........other than hearts of iron 3 i probably won't be buying any other games soon.
-
OK, you should never steal a game, its DISHONEST, period.
Second, I also think restricting a game so that you cannot resell it is DISHONEST. Why can't I sell something I don't use anymore?....lame. -
Yea, I agree... People who pirate games will not necessarily buy the game. In fact, most games today require you to actually buy the game to get the fullest. I mean, I bought left 4 dead, because I couldn't play online without the cd key (other than LAN of course). People that play WoW have to pay to play it (unless private servers). Overall, if people really like the game they will buy it. And those are the games that deserve to be bought.
-
Well... this is not anything new. Same thing is happening over console/movie/music... you name it.
And you don't need to be so pissed off. What for? Could it be because they own you using their normal mouse and their pirated games?
And honestly, I've yet to see a PC game to date that's not being pirated.
In third world country like Malaysia. Not everyone can afford original and the overall moral esteem is quite low to be frank, pirated games is mostly normal and those who buy original normally be consider as abnormal.
Its ~45 USD we're talking, not 45 MYR. As a student, average payment for my part time job is only worth around 2 PC games per month. How many parent are willing to pay for them? Especially, a game?
Nevertheless, I agree with Hep!, I only buy game that I think deserve it. Although it still cost me a fortune to buy both PC and PS3 games... Luckily my 360 goes 3RoD and I don't bother to send all the way back to HK to repair. -
Thread closed to prevent further bickering and people commenting how they pirate games(see forum rules).
