ONLY review PC games? Aside from PCGamer you're probably not going to find many... Totalbiscuit is a good choice though but even he lets things slip through due to him being the only one who can narrate and play the games, even if he has staff helping with the editing.

TB's content has really taken a step back in the last year or so due to his cancer. Hopefully when he's cured, the channel can resume its normal pace.

He is cured (as far as I know), and I believe probably trying to get back into things.

With cancer, you never want to say "cured" this soon.

Eh I'd try to stay away from them. GamerGate revealed some pretty damning info about RPS.

Very true. But they can no longer detect it, and if it's gone it'll be gone. If it isn't gone, it will come back. Whether we wait or not does not change that outcome. As of right now he doesn't seem to have complications from cancer.

After all this time, I still don't get/know what Gamergate is/was...

Seeing that there's a lack of proper PC game reviewing sites, should NBR, like, make its own one? With blackjack and hookers! In fact, forget about the reviews! Ah, screw the whole damn thing!

It's about ethics in games media.

Think of GamerGate as the 21st century Internet-driven equivalent of muckraking.

    Dunno what muckraking is.

Basically it was about people who started finding that certain "favourable" reviews and opinion pieces in games media were written by people who had "friendships" of a certain kind with people who "happened" to work for the companies that benefited from the articles.

Then people started sending death threats and being general douches and there was a huge upsurge of SJWs (Social Justice Warriors) and the normal media got a hold of about 1/10 of the story (namely the SJWs and the death threats) and it blew up and now it's some big taboo. All in all it lasted under 6 months if I remember right.

Little was gained and a lot was lost. I was just playing Dark Souls and Evolve and Mass Effect.

Your explanation sounds like someone who played DS and Evolve and ME through it all. :D

As for muckraking, time to brush up on your U.S. history. Oh wait...

Eh it's what seeped through my cracks of "not following drama"firewall. That's how I judge public opinion about things. If I sit there, not hunting games, not hunting gaming websites, not hunting gaming news, etc... and I have an inability to avoid things (like Watch Dogs' hype train, or Titanfall's hype train) then I know for a fact things are pretty widespread XD.

Don't worry, I get that a lot XD. At some point if you know a decent bit about technology and you aren't in a european timezone you're assumed to be north american hehe.
