Old. And only a handful bunch of games are playable.
(Not to mention graphical glitches and random crashes)

PCSX2 is starting to work well. I haven't checked it for ages, but 2 years ago many games were starting to be playable, especially on the 64bits edition.

That would be great if the PC can soon perfectly emulate Gamecube and PS2 games so I can play the games I missed out on on the best gaming platform ever with higher resolution and other goodies emulation offers.

What is the status of Xbox 1 emulation?

It would be nice if future consoles use more PC centric hardware so emulating them on the PC would be easier. For instance the arcade platform that runs Street Fighter 4 uses off the shelf PC hardware like a Core 2 Duo processor and so would be easy to run on the PC, thus a PC version is coming later this year. I'd like every game to be playable on the PC. :p

I have been using emulators ever since the first gameboy ones were avalible so don't talk about me about knowing something this obivious.

Emulator isnt worth the time when it can only run few games with acceptable speeds, like Dolphin. (It can run quite a few NGC with full speed and some Wii games)

PSXC2 is a fine PS2 emulator, it can run alot of 'must-play' games like Final Fantasy titles, but alot of the playable titles on the emulator are games you wouldn't give a second look.
Nintendo DS, Gameboy Advance, PSX and older systems can all be perfectly emulated (all games work without any problem).

Dolphin's development has SOARED ever since it went open-source.
Heck, it can even run Smash Bros Brawl (PAL version)!

Yeah I already mentioned it before in the "Xbox emulator" thread. Brawl is playable, but it's still mostly in slow-motion.

Melee however is fully playable. :p

Brawl plays 50fps locked (for some reason) on my desktop in 1920x1080. Though it's unplayable because after a single match the emulator will crash every time. But you can get in one very smooth Full HD match :p

Whats the point of playing 2 emulators at once if they have different controls and you have to go different places at once.

Xbox emulation I don't think was really pursued by I remember seeing one that only could play Halo exclusively (this was before Halo CE came out).
