    First of all... I am building a mini-itx system, not a laptop. But very few people know about MXM and you guys all seem pretty savvy.

    I found this thread in my searches:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/gam...l-mxm-connector-external-pci-e-x16-box-7.html

    I want to do the opposite. I want to be able to use a MXM video card in a PCI-e slot on a mini-itx board.

    This post from that thread has pictures of exactly what I want:

    But I can't find anywhere to buy this MSI card. I found this Polish review with pictures of the retail box, so I know this is more than a reference design or technology demonstration:

    MSI Geminium GO :: PCLab.pl

    So my questions are:

    1) Does anyone know where to buy this card? I searched everywhere including MSI's site. I also emailed MSI (haven't heard back yet).

    2) Does anyone know of any other products like this? The MSI product is actually designed to SLI two MXM cards. I would probably only need one MXM.

    And before some one asks "why?" The reason I want to use a MXM card is because I am trying to minimize power consumption. MXM cards are designed with power in mind, whereas regular PCI-e video cards are not. Plus I am trying to use passive cooling, and lower power helps with that.

    Why not use a low-profile desktop graphics card? A Radeon 5570 would probably work, is cheap, and can play games (although not on the highest settings) if you're into that.

    Not sure why you need this since there are plenty of powerful low profile pcie cards out there.
