Sounds like it might be a driver issue. The game is seeing your card as a 64mb card when it is 128mb. Try uninstalling the driver then cleaning the files in safe mode using driver sweeper, then reinstall the driver and try again.

Well its isnt really a 128mb card. Maybe you confused the memory bandwidth which is 128bit bus width.
Update the drivers asap and check if under bios theres a way to specify the total vram of the card if any, but i doubt.
Also i suspect the laptop uses Optimus? Because the total vram sounds like the intel onboard card is in use.
Maybe you need to manually enable the card.

Dunno if theres a manual switch (physical) on the laptop, or try to see if theres a combination of keys to press like FN+number.
Or righclick on the desktop to see if theres a switchable option.

You can confirm if you're using optimus if theres a little blue screen near the clock in the task bar.

Plug the AC before game something and check NVCP as well.

Yes I thought it was referring to the memory bus which is 128bit, I made a mistake, weird considering I own the game (it's awesome). Somehow the game is still seeing the vram from the integrated GPU, and not the dedicated card, it may be a driver issue, if a clean driver reinstall doesn't work, perhaps a reinstall of the game while only the dedicated video card is in use might work.

Yes, just run the game with only the dedicated card enabled, see if that works.

No, it shouldn't get any hotter than it usually would when playing, and the card will still down clock when not playing to reduce temps and power consumption, so I wouldn't worry about it. It's not really necessary but I do recommend you get a notebook cooler at some point down the road when you have the spare cash. Extra cooling is always a bonus. If you plan to buy one later on and need some advice, drop by NBR and we can help you out. Enjoy the game!
