Hello everybody... This is my second post here at the forum (heyy :) ), but i'm an avid visitor of this website for about a month... Congrat's on the posts!!

First things first... before everything, i just wanna say sorry if you're tired-sick of reading (and aswering) this type of question - sorry - ... Then, i'd like to say i'm sorry (again) if my english isn't correct (because i'm from Brazil)

So, apologies made, let's get down to business....

I'm an avid simulation gamer (looking anxiously to purchase a sistem that runs FSX on high/med-high specs, not ultra high, w/ FPS of about 15-20), so, what's the performance of the 5760 when handling w/ FSX??? Any thoughts?? What about handling other games (Oblivion, Medievil II and other very demanding games)???

    - Intel Core 2 Duo T-7400 (2 x 2.16ghz - 4mb L2 cache - 667 fsb)

    - 2 gbs of RAM DDR2 667mhz (exp. to 4gbs)

    - 100GB 7,200RPM SATA HD

    - GeForce GO 7950GTX 512mb GDDR3

    - 17" WSXGA+ (1680x1050) Matte LCD display

    - OS: Windows Vista Home Premium OR XP (which one is the best??)

I'd apreciate if you could answer me the fastest possible (cause i'm thinking about pulling the trigger)

Thank you very much for the patience and attencion!!!!

The Geforce 7950GTX graphics card will handle all of your gaming needs. No worries...aside from your wallet getting a bit light after this purchase. Not sure what you're referring to about the 5760, sounds familiar...maybe you're referring to a Quadro?

Nevertheless, stick with the configuration you listed and you're good.

You will run current game well at med-high graphics (depending on the game) And with 4 gigs of RAM (assuming you are going to run Vista, because XP doesnt see 4 gigs) then you will be well on your way.

Not sure if the OP is still here, but I would say at this point having 4GB of RAM is unnecessary and way too expensive. You're talking 2 sticks of 2GB DDR2, which will cost thousands of dollars alone.

On another note, I think the 5760 he's referring to is the Alienware or possibly Sager model number of the 17" laptop he's buying.

FSX is an extremely demanding game and should easily strain the 7950GTX.

Make sure you get a good CPU coupled with at least 2gigs of RAM and the 7950GTX for maximum performance.
