I don't care if it`s ATI or Nvidia , there performance is very similar , I do like Nvidia control panel layout better though.
-
I'm wary of Nvidia since I got burned in their 8xxx debacle when I had an XPS M1330.
I currently use an ATI 4670 -
8600m GT here

ATI Mobility Radeon 3650M, 256MB GDDR3, although 95% of the time I am using the Intel GMA 4500MHD.
My old Averatec 2155 has the ATI Radeon Xpress 200M.
Brother has an Nvidia GTX275 768MB GDDR3 in his Dell Studio XPS 435MT desktop and Intel GMA 950 in his netbook. -

Nobody got an INTEL only notebook
, most cheap notebooks in the UK have an INTEL 4500MHD GPU.

I am wary of nVidia laptop GPUs because I have not had good luck with them.

GTX 260M here, though I am an ATi fan.
I wanted the Mobility HD5870 but I can't afford it right now lol.
ATi>>>Nvidia!
But to be honest, I like both haha. -

Nvidia 9800M GS 512 MB in my lappy (which is monitor-less right now)
ATi 5850 1 GB in my desktop
Not really a proprietor of either, but I'm loving ATi's products right now. The 4670 I used to have in my desktop was an awesome card for the 5 months I had it. Brutally fast and efficient for what it was capable of. The 5850, though unneeded yet for most of my games with the exception of a few, is doing a great job of continuing that legacy. I like ATi's push for innovation, though I have no problem admitting how complacent they seem to be with drivers. Nvidia has good driver support, and better GPGPU support too for PhysX (though this isn't something I would judge a purchase decision on, unless it revolutionized gameplay, which of course, has yet to do) and more importantly, desktop and video acceleration. In the laptop market, I'm very glad ATi has done much better with the 4 series this time around. While Nvidia seems to have a relatively even spread of all their products in all the performance classes, ATi pretty much has Nvidia beat in the mid range market as far as availability, power and value goes. The 4570, 4650 and 4670 (assuming all to be DDR3 or GDDR3) are all incredibly great graphics solutions. I'm not surprised to see the 4650 in so many laptops. I am disappointed in ATi for pulling an Nvidia and revising and older generation to meet new needs, however, I can forgive them since Nvidia is doing the same thing the 4th of 5th time in a row. I have a feeling that Fermi is somewhat of a paper tiger, and even if it is as good as Nvidia says it'll be, no doubt it will be very expensive, much like the GTX 2xx cards in comparison to the Radeon 4xxxs. -
ATi 3650! got rid of my intel POS.

Nvidia 8400M GT in my Vaio FZ, ticking time bomb....

Where's the option for all 3?
-
That said, I liked getting around 5.5 hours out of my D630 with Intel GMA X3100 integrated graphics when the battery was new. I don't game much (if at all-have the portal demo, fired it up once and then never touched it) so the optional nVidia Quadro solution available for my machine would have been overkill. That and the fact that it was a member of the 8XXX family means that I definitely dodged a bullet, as having my computer die at any point except summer break is NOT an option.
-
ATi and Intel
Selecting both wasn't an option so I chose ATi -
8400m gs here.
-
8600m GT DDR2 here, once the warranty on current system expires I'll be ordering a 15" Clevo with the best possible GPU that's out at the time.

Ive got a sytem comming in the mail with dual 1gb ATI 4870's crossfire.
-
Mobility Radeon HD 3650 DDR2 512MB here, but I'm hopeful for a new system containing the Mobility 5870 soon. (Asus G73JH-A1)
-
GeForce GT 240m 1GB dedicated.
I don't have a preference for one faceless business organisation over another, I just go for whatever product offers me the best 'bang for buck' at the price range I have in mind. That was the GT 240m for me, but ATi might have something more interesting in that price range these days. -

Intel X4500MHD IGP in my notebook. I play all my games on my desktop.
-
ATI 4330. Pretty decent for an ultraportable i guess.
-
nvidia GT 230m in laptop and nvidia GTX 260 in my desktop.
-
Radeon HD4650 in my notebook. I don't have the guts to try nvidia until they proven their gpu's does not fail. Almost everyone i know who bought an nvidia notebook the last 3 years have had their gpu's replaced or notebooks in the trashcan.
-
My preference has been NVIDIA GPUs. As of present, my laptop has a 9700M GT.
