    PROOF the gma 950 does NOT reek!

    Dont care if you dont belive me, because ill be posting my own video with proof. ALL of the games like CS:S COD 2 Matrix: PON BF2142 are now playable because of modded drivers:

    CS:S (best played on vista): runs great on 640x480 and even 800x600 all maxed with 10 bots (more than 16 = lag)

    COD 2 (AA was mistake) totally playable but FPS goes down to 10 at some points in dx9, for dx7 fps usually nvr goes below 20.

    F.E.A.R: windows 7 modded drivers have made the game playable with textures on high, but there may be a few second pauses at various parts runs great

    Killing Floor: runs great at medium-high settings but lags a bit when many zombies appear

    There's a difference between a game which can run and a game which is playable, maybe for some the former is sufficient for a card to be rated better than junk.

    rofl guys yeah it does reek ^^ but yeah when i first got my laptop i knew NOTHING about computers, just bought one and had the gma 950 on it. of course get somthing like a 9400 or even lower to play games well. ^^

    Crysis (LOL): from 5-30 fps (30 fps when you looking at a plain path and only lasts till 1 person comes)with some tweaking you can get a good 15-20 fps on it and 10-20fps when people start coming

    Portal: RUNS BEST ON XP totally playable 40-50 fps on a resolution of 640x480 or 800x600 and even 1024x768 fps will go from 30-35 at that point.

    World In Conflict :DO NOT PATCH or it will get worse with each patch. RUNS BEST ON WIN 7. good game great fps. believe it or not, i lose about 3 fps when i switched the resolution from 800x600 to 1920x1080 on my tv. Settings such as particle and terrian can be put on high, or textures on med. High will run but turn off other settings. Play around with the settings as some settings run better than others. Pixel quality must be on high for better preformance. FPS 15-30. laggy of course when a nuke goes off but will run better if you look at it far away.

    World of Warcraft:Tried the game and it works well on settings on min. 20-50 fps. RUNS BEST ON VISTA

    (this guy is running on a aspire one, so preformance will increase on better processors+ram)

    GTA:SA and GTA vice city:
    GTA SA runs on all low 600x600 or even 1024x768 with 20-30 fps. GTA vice city ran at a very good frame rate 25-30+ on 1024x768 with all settings on high. (again running on aspire one so your preformance will be better)

    sorry D: the modded drivers are from the GMA 965 (x3100) which is why when you mod your drivers and go to www.srtest.com your video card with be a GMA 965. or somthing else modded by somthing. the X4500 is the best GMA card i believe. So you cant really improve. But there are videos of ppl playing cod waw on an x3100 with 8-20 fps. Would it run better on an X4500MHD? also COD 4 will run silky smooth

    1.73 ghz core 2 duo T5300 (fairly old) HP PAVILION dv6335ca
    Ram: 1GB
    2048MB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm) (added another GB of ram)

    not sure if it is single or dual channel. thats all it says on the website.

    well you cant run cod 4 without swiftshader ( i hope you know what that is) which runs the game at 4-5fps (it does that for all games) however we need to find a workaround the cod 4 engine because it is not in a regular code. There are people right now that are making modded drivers to fix the problem. the game should be playable because a game that has the same specs (forgot the name) ran on min 25-30fps. If the modded driver is successful we should be able to run cod 4 at an fps of 20-30

    probably thats what they say but it did surpise me when infernal (pixel shader 3 game) ran pretty well :/ maxed 640x480

    The card still sucks for gaming it dont even have HW transform and lighting nor vertex shaders so tweaking it really is no use

    in theory there are vertex shading units :/ thats why the 3100 (updated gma 950) has exactly the same preformance issues

    And I have an ATI Mobility Radeon 3650 and even that doesn't get the job done. For Crysis anyway. Then again, is anything within the next year going to get the job done when it comes to Crysis?

    Yeah, problem is I already tried the modded drivers there, and they are bugged up for my machine. Lots of flickers, and my Windows experience score actually drops. :( They "work", but they don't WORK.

    Yeah, I finally built gaming rig last month. I made a mistake and bought a Macbook with GMA 950 2 years ago, while being a gamer at heart. I don't know how I've survived this long. :(

    There are compromises all across the board here that *still* do not allow for a smooth gaming experience, and by smooth I am reasonably expecting at least 25FPS. The GMA 950 is still a useless gaming IGP.

    all run at least 25 FPS ;) exception on CS:S on a lot of bots or on COD 2 on dx9 and yes it is useless

    We should put an asterisk next to your 25FPS claim just to honestly fit in the abundant exceptions to what is otherwise a generalization that makes many assumptions...

    Obviously they don't all run at a consistent 25FPS, and even if they do it's because they're running in an older version of DirectX than DX9. No matter how you dress up the data, the GMA 950 is a piece of crap and it's old, so just forget about it and continue on to make fun of Intel's latest creation.
