I'd recommend people to switch to pre 4xxx series drivers because they don't have these problems. Witcher 3 was released a long time ago and these new drivers makes the performance worse and I feel its performance is similar to AMD these days.
I waited for 4-8 driver releases to fix strange stutters and unusual high temps on W3 w/ Hair and other physx effects. I was able to play on high settings with everything enabled on older driver releases.

No. Nvidia does not pay me to do their job. Yes, I'm selfish.

It warms my heart to see the love for Nvidia, but what about some love for "The Witcher" fans?

So far no one has replied into that thread at Nvidia either, at least nothing Nvidia has allowed to remain.

I guess "The Witcher" fan(s) that reported the bug are gonna have to get an AMD Radeon GPU to finish their quests. :D

I finished Witcher 3 long time ago, never had single issue. Game looked gorgeous, especially Geralt's beard with HairWorks enabled ;-)

I'd love to see Nvidia audio and logo removed on most games because I don't like them.
I want to play W3 with some mods for second round gaming. One of the best games...
I'm planning to buy Vega 7 and 3rd gen Threadripper mainstream/high end CPUs.

I started Witcher 3 this past week, no crashes.

I'm floored how good it looks on this monitor w/ gsync functioning, thank god it works with freesync.
