Braid, Cortex Command, Osmos, Machnarium, and Revenge of the Titans are for sale and you get to pay for it for whatever price you wish!
The Humble Indie Bundle #2 (pay what you want for five awesome indie games)
I this is a good deal, even though I already have 2 games out of the ones listed, but Cortex Command looks pretty fun! Also, it goes towards charity!

-

The first bundle was eventually released on Steam, and anyone who bought it originally could activate it on Steam.

im just upset at the developers of aquarius and mostly gish, for not releasing mac versions of their games on steam, or even up to date versions of their games in gish's case (even if you download through the humble bundle).
-
Pay what you want is a stupid move, when you don't set a minimum purchase price. I don't get why devs allow a $.01 sale.
-
Well, that is the whole point...
-
masterchef341 The guy from The Notebook
it could be pay what you want (but at least a dollar)
if you type in a number less than a dollar, you do get a funny picture. -
Because not all people are jerks. Note the average purchase prices.
And $0.01 is still more than they'd get as compared to if they were pirated. -
It worked well enough last time. They published some stats on it, and the average donation was over $15, IIRC. Besides, people who pay $.01 for it probably wouldn't buy it at all with a minimum purchase price, so that's probably a few bucks in pennies they actually would have lost.

Well i think this is mostly for charity/good publicity at this point. All of the games, based on past sales, seem like theyve already made their money back and are now just trying to get more people playing the games and familiar with the studios.

Thanks to the op. I enjoyed the 1st H.I.B. and will certainly enjoy this one as well.

Also, the stats are skewed if they just count the number of 1 cent transactions.
Personally, I wanted 5 copies (one for myself, 4 to gift to my friends).
I wanted to pay $20 total.
Since we can pay whatever we want, I ended up paying $20 for the first copy, and .01 for the subsequent copies. This actually sent them more money versus 5x $4 transactions, because of the way the fees work. -
If I didn't buy Just cause 2 and metro 2033, I would have bought these games as well. Maybe I should, but I simply have too many games in line still to be played. Also I don't want to just pay less than 5 dollars on these great games since I will feel guilty if I do
And also, I think this is a great move. It reduces pirating and donating money to charity is always a good thing! -
What's the funny picture you get? Can you post it?
Not really. It costs them more than $0.01 just to process the money transaction... Most companies won't allow a transaction that small because they end up losing out. -
Revenge of the Titans is so cool and fun. The bundle was worth it for that alone.
-
masterchef341 The guy from The Notebook
then you didn't pay enough - there were 4 other games, too
-
Well, I already owned Braid, Machinarium, and Osmos. I bought it for RotT alone.
-
i payed 10 bucks and it went all to charity ^^ That's what they get for giving me that option ^^
-
Well technically DRM free means you could just gift the first copy to whoever you want.
-
masterchef341 The guy from The Notebook
yeah, but i wanted 5 licenses. did you read their piracy blog? they would consider it piracy even though it's drm free and they frowned upon it. however, they did not frown upon 1c purchased licenses... i have no idea why. -
They probably just don't want to be misunderstood as supporting piracy in general.
