BTW to me Penumbra is THE MOST scary game I have ever seen. And I played only the tech demo. It was scary and nothing was there. Strange. Probably the best survival horror game.

In Black Plague there are enemies/zombies with light torches and can be seen from a distance so you can hide fast. Some youtube clips look impressive.

Physics is great in this game BTW.

Thanks for the link! The last time I checked they said the demo was scheduled for release.

Yes but the game takes quite a bit of dedication, which really is nice especially for two guys who thought of the idea of the game. But personally i dont enjoy looking 15 minutes for a dime so i can then look 10 minutes for a vice to figure out 13 minutes later i have to put the two together to misshapen the coin to a rather smaller version of itself to unscrew the vent.... damn i mean im going to law school, I game so that I can escape these realities, the game, in so far as i can tell, plays like mcguyver in-pregnated sherlock Holmes with a Japanese crossword puzzle from 400A.D.

:) Yes that coin puzzled me too in the video I was watching. Perhaps we should read the walkthrough first!

if we have to read a walkthrough for the first 5 minutes of the demo...well i would just assume walk away.... play doom and shoot someone..oh well thats why i could NEVER play WoW. If I have to learn to use 439 buttons while slaying a dragon drinking a milk shake, thats not my bag kid.... at all. I dont play games to make life more complicated, i presume those that don't have demanding/substantial lives try and find it else where...

Well i guess your in law school - so obvioousslyyy doing anything else demanding is below you - get a life kid. Wows easy, if thats too complicated for you, you should seek a different profession. The comment about people playing complicated games b/c they dont have demanding lives is assinine - if you cant hack it, dont lay it on other people about your shortcomings.

There's no need to be offensive either, and releasing flame-baits everywhere in here. To be honest, people who memorized the 400+ technique, buttons, and combos for any given game, are the ones that needs to get a life, as in games are suppose to be casual. I don't mind the occasional challenge, but a game like WoW that has virtually no end to it; it is overkill. That's what school and job are there for, they are places where you should really be using your genius head on.

It's released. Great game, downloaded for $20. It looks and plays great all maxed.

I like how it lets you resume from the demo..

It is ok, but short though. Enemy is somewhat poor looking. But really scared me when he opened the door and moved all the stuff I put on it to block it. I guess I should have used heavier stuff on the door. But I hid and he didn't see me. Scary indeed.

Speed is ok, looks good with all max settings. Light and shadow really makes it great. Have you noticed ingame panic attacks when you stare at the enemy for too long while hidden? I tried, but not sure what was happening, since I was looking around me to put more stuff in front of me in an attempt to make my hiding place better.

I noticed that too. but with the previous penumbra game demo. The one that starts on the ship. There were many polygons missing + some textures were non existant so I could see through things, walls etc...

    Black Plague worked well though.

Yes, a short game! I did not see any corrupted graphics however at times frame rate dropped for no apparent reason. Some of the quests were fun and others a bit boring, all in all I enjoyed it.
