750m is a good improvement, but that low voltage CPU will hinder it in many games. I suggest keeping your laptop or finding a laptop with a better processor, because your i5/i7+gt555m could outperform the 750m due to the weaker cpu combo.
Games that rely heavily on the GPU will benefit from the 750m with any processor, but if you're eager to spend that money, you should not impose disadvantages in CPU reliant titles.

I play mostly League of Legends, War Thunder, Hearthstone, Rift.. those type of games, not really third person shooters, would it still be a big disadvantage? Is there is a big difference between the i7-2630QM and those ULV processors (like the one i linked i5-4200U) ?

So for the games I play (listed above), would the slower cpu make a big difference even though the gpu seems to be much better? Also do you have any suggestion of other laptops with similar specs (and maybe better cpu) at similar price that is available now or in the near future?

I don't think the CPU will hinder the performance at all considering the games being played. The i5-4200U is a great dual core performer, just no multi threaded performance, probably would even beat the i7-2630QM in single or dual threaded performance. The 750m is a significant bump over the 555m.

That being said the system overall isn't a significant upgrade. But it is thinner, lighter, and gets a lot more battery life.

The only problem with those you listed is that they are all much bigger and heavier than the v7. They also dont have a touchscreen which is not a must for me but its a welcome feature for sure . If there was any other laptop out there with same similar feature set and at this price i would definitely consider them.

touchscreen ? okey then you got only the V7
I'm wondering why people love these touchscreens, i find em kinda useless..
anyway as i said, you want a light lappy with dedicated card : ultrabook ! which implies ULV CPU + 64 bit width GPU with ddr3 memory :/

I was saying that if he pulls out the 2nd card he can squeeze out 6 hours from the battery (gaminglaptopjunky review ;) )

I just looked he says 3.5-4.5 hours of browsing without Optimus and 4.5-6 hours without SLI. Personally I find that hard to believe because multiple other reviews showed 2.5-3 hours of battery life with continuous Wifi test with SLI on. He doesn't really specify the parameters of battery test, brightness settings or specifics.

Actually I can totally live without the touchscreen portion but I am trying to get something that has the gpu and is ultrabook (or close to that). I been using my Y570 on my lap for the past year. Its been doable but I would like to get something a bit lighter and easier to move around hehe :) Also this laptop has some quality issues. Mainly the hinges when i open and close the lid, part of the body (the corner of the laptop) is getting coming off every time I try to open the lid so I am force to hold them down while I open it up.

I thought about getting the y410p which is the 14inch version of this laptop but I am afraid it will have proportionally the same weight and quality.
