    Performance of Mobility Radeon 3470

    Hi all,

    I would like to know that what you think what is the difference in performance between a Mobility Radeon 3470 256 MB and a Radeon X800 GT 256 MB (AGP, Desktop). I know that the former has only 64-bit memory bus, while the latter has 256-bit, but I am interested in performance, not technical stuff :)
    Let's say CPU and RAM do not count - both of them much powerful than the VGA in each case.

    3DMark scores are almost the same, but I dont' know about real gaming performance differences...

    I also think that the HD3450/3470 use DDR3 memory which is faster and helps it out even though it is only 64-bit bus. In the future we may have low end video cards that are only using a 64-bit bus, but using DDR7 ;) memory that will have performance equivalent to todays 9600M GT :eek: Hope this helps.
