    Good evening guys.

I'm new to the forum, however I often check this site for advices and suggestions on notebooks.
Now I come with a question.

I was wondering if anyone has played Flight Simulator 2004 with the NVidia 8400M GS graphics card? If so, how is the performance?
A friend of mine runs FS2004 with a Radeon X300 on a Pentium M processor, and the game runs quite smoothly on high settings. In my case the 8400M GS would be used with a Core 2 Duo processor. So I was wondering if anyone has had any experience on here with that card and that game, also with Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, it should run pretty much maxed out. My old MR9700 ran it maxed out with some slowdown at larger airports with 100% traffic and with aftermarket scenery. London Heathrow or JFK with an after market real world traffic program and scenery will get around 15fps, but generally expect 30fps on the ground and up to 70 in the air.

It will play Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars but you'll have to play with the detail settings to adjust for best performance or play it at 1024x768 resolution.

How much ram you got? If you have windows vista and 2GB of ram you should be sweet, extra ram helps big time with flight simulator.

Well, I am actually planning on buying a new notebook for the holidays, so that's the reason behind all these questions. I am getting no less than 2GB or ram with the update.. As Dell is offering very good deals on their refurbished notebooks, I had my eyes fixed on that, however it is very rare to catch anything above 2.0Ghz on the Core 2 Duo among the list, the majority of the processors on there seem to range between 1.5 to 1.8 Ghz.. if anything and coupons are right at the time, I'll just by a new one :D
