Hi! After several notebooks I decided to buy a Gateway 6610mx and it has an Ati X600 video card, but now that I have it I have some questions that I hope you can answer! :)

First, how do I know if my card uses HyperMemory? this is because in the official specs, in the webpage and in the mannual it says clearly "UP TO DYNAMIC 64MB ATI X600SE" but when I check the system info it says "128mb ATI x600" so I was lucky and get more than I wanted? in the Ram it says that i currently have 1024MB and in the BIOS there is no setting to change the quantity of video of the card...so I was lucky or may be 64mb are dedicated and the other are shared?

Second, when I run on AC all the games are played great! but when I go with the battery the game is very slow :( I checked the "POWER PLAY" option and I can only change to "BATTERY OPTIMIZED" or "FULL PERFORMANCE" but if I change to the second option the battery life decreases by a lot! but the games are played Ok, so is there any option to change this? I mean, may be to find program that switch automatically between battery optimized and full performance?

Well thank you for reading! and I hope you understand me! Sorry if this is very simply to make but I'm a noob with all these video cards I used to have always Integrated :p.
    Thanks!

I don't think there is a program to change PowerPlay settings automatically as it kicks in when you disconnect the AC (if you haven't turned it off). It's there to underclock the GPU to increase the battery time but if you change it to full performance the GPU runs with its standard clocks which then reduces battery time. You can't have both of them at the same time. So when you want to play with the laptop when disconnected from the AC, you'll have to change it manually.

Yes I think it is the last option but well its ok :D and what abut how to identify if this laptop uses Hypermemory? In the BIOS says 64mb but in windows shows 128mb!! :S

I would believe that those 64mb in the BIOS are the dedicated memory and those extra 64mb in Windows come from Hypermemory.
