Totally pre ordering this after seeing how valve likes the valentine day

 

Meanwhile at Valve, Gabe Newell is starting to eat his mountain-tall stack of Valentine Chocolates and still avoiding to finish Episode 3...

PS: I am waiting for Portal 2 to be discounted on Steam before getting it. Just like how I got the Orange Box. Humorous trailer though, wish they spent the time making it on getting Episode 3 done!

BTW Amazon has/had it for $45 pre-order + $5 credit on amazon so thats a net $40 cost. I would have gotten it but not sure if I can activate retail products on Steam and I want to have it on Steam.

Figured but didnt want to take a chance.

Anyways checked out what steam has, it has 10% of for pre-order ($45) and 20% off for a 2 pack ($40 each game) so I just got a two pack. This matches the discount I would get from Amazon and I get the game instantly.

So if you want a copy of Portal 2 for $40.00 and have a paypal account just PM me and we can set that up.

 

The PS3 version of the game comes with a PC version for free.

It says that the PC version is activated via Steam, so I assume that you would get a steam copy for the regular pc retail package.

 

Hmm seriously? too late now lol but could have bought the PS3 version and just ebayed it.

PS3 version is $10 more expensive, but hey again Amazon $5.00 credit & $5.00 preorder credit so its only $50.00.

Im sure you can ebay it for $25.00 easy so thats a copy of Portal 2 on Steam for $25.00 your cost if your willing to make the effort.


Had I pre-ordered via Amazon you get charged when it ships, but since I got it on Steam I was charged right away and there is no canceling an order.

Also, the ps3 version has cross-platform access to pc players so if you know anyone with a ps3 you could play co-op with them while you're on the pc and they are the ps3.

Also, on selling the ps3 version: don't forget gamestop. They might screw you over in terms of value you get, but its easily worth a decent sum when it's the first day of availability.

The diamond statement was a great line. I really had to laugh out loud when I read that.

Been watching lots of the new puzzles Valve put into Portal 2. Now I am kind of tempted to buy it. The co-op sounds amazing! A multiplayer game that makes your brain work!

That said, I might be interested as the release date gets closer on nabbing the deal Vicious put out for his retail copy... Hmmmm...

Personally , don't want to hear crap from Valve and they won't get another cent of my money until Episode 3 is released.............3 + years and still waiting ! Must be goin' for the Duke Nukem record !
