    Phenom N930 vs i5 450m

    Which processor is better in gaming and battery

    They're closely match in performance. But the i5 will get better battery life. For gaming I'd get i5.

    You'll not be able to notice the difference in performance. If you absolutely need the extra 25%~ battery life, you can spend the money you saved for buying AMD processor and use it to get better graphic card or SSD.

    yeah, who games while running on battery anyway? its like running a race car on 87 octane.

    When im gaming I want a dedicated mouse, wired network connection, etc If i have those things im going to have AC power too...

    Those cpus are so closely matched performance wise i would be more focused on the other features such as GPU. avoid intel hd graphics like plague for gaming.

    I do when I'm traveling to speech tournaments or while on vacation. My mom driving of course.

    I agree. i5-430m is just faster in single-threaded apps because of speed advantage but in multi-threaded N930 is generally faster.

    i would say in this case .. the N930 is better.. if its i5-520m or above , i would choose intel for sure.
