Hi, I am using my computer for 2D-work like Photoshop.
I am thinking of buying a HP nx6325 with ATI X1150 card. And I will connect an external CRT screen to do serious photo-editing. HP.com says it supports 2048 x 1536 32-b colour.
Is this card good enough for my use? What refresh rate (Hz) will I get at resolution 1600*1200 ... and 2048 x 1536?

The graphics card has no affect on how well photoshop will perform. In the situation you describe, it'll perform exactly the same as it would on your laptops display.
As for the resolutions and refresh rate you run at, that depends on your monitor. As long as your monitor supports them, that card can run them fine. -
My CRTscreen supports 1920x1440 @ 64 Hz (Max), and the X1150 will support that I believe.Thank you for good advice

As Twilight said, you'll have no problem using that laptop for what you want to do. You'll most likely get 60Hz refresh rate at higher resolutions.
We can suggest other laptops to you if you like; complete our FAQ in the What Should I Buy forum and we can offer assistance.
