Not yours unfortunately, not yet anyway. So far the PhysX drivers work only for the current top of the line Nvidia GPUs like the GTX280.

The geforce 8s are based on the cuda architecture and it will support it eventially when NVIDIA releases support for it. They are doing it in a teired basis with the gtxs first, then 9s, then maybe 8.

How much extra space does the PhysX hardware take?

PhysX is being implemented via the CUDA architecture that is built into the GPUs.

That's nice considering that for the desktop it was a seperate card.

Even in my XPS M1730, PhysX is still a separate card :D

That is a large notebook though, so I'm not surprised that it can fit it. Man I'm just drooling at your M1730....mmmm...8800 SLI....

But see, you will most likely see better performance, as the Physics are offloaded from the CPU and GPU to the PPU.

I believe Rainbow Six, UT3, there are some others. (Crysis uses it's own Physics system)

Yeah... GRAW2 uses it AFAIK.... especially the map "AGEIA Island" or PhysX Island or something like that.... which only runs with PhysX hardware.... and it's basically like a less beautiful version of Crysis. ;)
