With the latest release of Nvidia's drivers and the ability to turn your second GPU into a Physx chip, I seem to have run into a bit of an issue. I have a Dell M1730 with 2x8800M GTX and a dedicated physx chip. However I can't seem to find the physx chip showing up in the device manager, and I've got one uninstalled hardware device, simply called a "PCI Device". Both of these caused me to believe that I do not have my physx chip installed - so I tried to install it. However I can't seem to get it installed. Although the Nvidia Control Panel is giving me the option to enable physx, it doesn't actually state if that's on my dedicated chip or on my second GPU. How can I find out if my Physx chip is enabled, or if it's not install how do I do so?
Also I've noticed that in the latest NvCP I don't have all the advanced options, such as overclocking. Were these removed? If not where can I find them. Thanks for any help!

I think there is not physx driver released yet. I also talked to dell about that and they told me that we need to wait a while for physx drivers for Windows 7.

when the GTX 280m comes out, Nvidia should be coming out with a driver to support that, and also hopefully support PhysX on Windows 7.

PhysX is useless right now, you`ll barely find 2-3 popular games even employing it.

But to be future proof just get physx as it doesnot hurt anyone

When I bought my computer I had no option. Dell had it down as a mandatory add-on for some strange reason. But it's nice to have in the background, even if I rarely use it.
I found out the problem. For some reason unbeknown to man newer drives don't install the hardware. You have to install an older version of the physx to install it, then upgrade. Silly Nvidia. -
