    Can you do that?

    I mean, does ex. Half-life 2 work in: 1280x800 or 1680x1050?

I mean, does the game support 16:9 or will the game only play in 4:3 mode, so there will be much blank space on the sides?

If it plays 16:9, does some one have a screen that can show how it looks?

And, if it works, what games have you played in 16:9 mode?

HL2 and nearly all if not all Valve games have native widescreen support.

But there are some that dont have native 16:9 (BF2, NFS:MW).

I've played both HL2 and WoW in widescreen on the Sony Vaio s360, so yeah, definitely some games out there that support it (I'd only expect to see more with the prevalence of widescreen laptops and widescreen LCD's for desktops).
