This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    http://www.gog.com offers digital download of tons of old classical games for a small price (mostly 5-6 USD)

    If there r some old classics you want to play check out the site :)

    They got many games from year 1998-2005 for 5-6 dollar :)

    Dont Pirate games buy em, even if they r old :)

    Umm, well the thing is, if they are selling old games that are no longer supported (most likely), and have been released as abandonware, than they are committing piracy by trying to sell them as a digital download.
    No I didn't check the site, but games released as abandonware can be legally downloaded for free. Home of the Underdogs comes to mind.
    As I understand it, they are not supposed to charge a fee for downloading them.

    Edit: So I gues that means if you are downloading these games for free from websites you are the pirate. :)

    Downloaded the original Legacy of Kain (abandonware)...

    Apparently it's so old the installer doesn't support large hard drives... Read my free space as twenty megs and refused to install... Was moderately disappointed ._.

    Just a hunch I would have to say yes. There are a lot of brands and series on that site that are still very active. Doom, Quake, Star Wars etc...
