Just got this game myself played a few rounds, defo need to get guidance on this game its not like the BF Games, Siege CS:GO CS 1.6. Noticed though on first boot it connected to me to an Asian server had to change that back to EU servers. Graphics are decent enough, noticed even with it at Version 1.0 its still not well optimised feels like ARMA to me. Just got to figure out the kinks in the game now and best start locations per map.

This game can be a very serious vram hog at higher resolutions. At 5k, I was logging around 10-10.5gb of VRAM usage on a TITAN V.

I think you need to add friends on Steam or type the name in the search area in PUBG, there is a bug where even people on your list wont show unless you search for them from within the lobby. I was able to play with great people because I'm part of a large clan that has a PUBG division, I can't imagine having to learn with the "China numba one" crowd.
Is there a Steam group for this forum? This could be helpful.ShineGlizzy and KY_BULLET like this. -
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.

My wife is Chinese, "I know a lot of Mandarin". Thse Chinese guys in the lobby's are some smack talking dudes I tell ya!
They talk smack just like we do if you could understand it you would find its pretty comical lol! They cut each others momma's down a lot lol!
But when when they hack and use aimbots , I freaking want to choke them out!

Locations is whatever. Any big city will at least get you an AR or UZI which will pretty much get you anywhere.
Things you want to do and/or get good at:
1) Which AR is best for you as it varies per user. (Best for recoil - M416 fully modded, best damage - AKM)
2) Knowing how to use scopes and a rifle that can utilize said scope correctly (M416 for best close-mid range combat with control for most people, SCAR-L for silenced mid-range, and any sniper)
3) Knowing how to control your recoil spread so you can murder people without using a full clip. Always aim for upper body/head/face since it avoids most armor damage.
4) Always keep moving. The circle is never your friend, not even if you pray for it.
5) Listening for noises. You always want to know where people are. Even if someone is walking or slightly moving, there is noise.
6) Lowering your game settings so you can view players easier and get more frames.
7) Play however you want, as long as it gets you where you want to be. (I am a super aggressive player/scout/flanker that always goes out in search of people as seen here when I leave my team at start to check out an island with people on it: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/218023942)
For proof my style works:

Good advice here except I find as much weaponry as I can, then get to the middle of the circle to find a good spot to hopefully pick them off as they come in. But, Then again I usually die before I get there lol!.
I do have 20+ top 10's though
...When I get lucky and jump out near the middle is when I usually get a top 10. Only one win for me though and it was on the Asian server. Simply because it sometimes defaults to that server at start up and I didn't catch it.

For me, weaponry is whatever as long as you have one for mid-range. Remember that players are also loot targets. I actively seek them to get ammo, boosters, meds, and guns. I tend to never find anything I want so I gave up on that idea and went straight for the kills.

I'm desperately waiting for my 765m to come in the mail for my m17x r3 (if I can get it to work)... Playing on this insanely overclocked 460m on 720p (with lag from time to time) is killing my KDR lol!
-
I'm surprised you can even play on those
I would never play PUBG with less than 4GB vRAM. The stuttering would be abysmal.DukeCLR, KY_BULLET and ShineGlizzy like this. -
I had a throttling issue and it would lag crazy, I re-pasted the cpu and gpu and it resolved the issue.

They even disabled family sharing because it somehow helps in hacking lol. This game for me is the reason why i think more than twice before buying an early access project. 30 bucks for a **** game, no thanks.Atma likes this.

That number drops by 99% if only they would region-lock China. -
Family Sharing allows you to avoid certain bans. This method was known since Dark Souls 2 when they released a Namco server-side anticheat that would ban accounts from accessing the game servers. Sharing the game with another account circumvents the ban.
Also, game hasnt been in early access for a while. -
Game came out of early access just recently yeah, and it's not even complete. I mean, they had issues with hackers even before the 1.0 version, they still have a ton of issues with maintenance and they still got bugs in their netcode which will be never fixed. 30 bucks, my friend. It's on the same level of H1Z1, just a trending game that will see its end sooner or later.

I know the game has flaws as with anything, however I enjoy the game thoroughly and do find the patches have improved the game somewhat. Still a long way to go but it's going in the right direction especially with them focusing on cheaters and optimisation with some mild updates.

I can tolerate the occasional rubber banding etc etc...but those hackers have got to go! At least 4 out of 10 games I get killed by one. Before the latest patching, the ratio was probably closer to 8 out of 10.

I remember getting head shotted from miles out while I was in a building by a shotgun. But agree completely it's improving just needs dedication and continued work.

I'd play this but I think they need better anti cheat. I have a buddy who cheats in every game he plays. He's kind of a meter for me on what to stay away from. His latest play all the time with his other cheat buddies is Pubg. Before this GTAV.

For me there has to be a challenge when playing a game. If I was cheating, therefore eliminating the challenge, then it would be boring to me. But to each his own. If it were my friend, I'd have to give him a swift kick in the you know what.

Anyone enjoying the latest updates?
I didn't like the ambient noise really, but now since they took it away, it seems wierd to me like it's too quiet plus, it makes my footsteps sound god-awful loud!
Also, I don't like the new weapons/supply menu either, and how do you change to the pistol if your holding a rifle? I had trouble figuring that one out using my Xbox 1 controller
...They changed something there.
This thread needed to be back on the front page anyway
, not 3 pages in for crying out loud! Too good of a game to be hiding in the archives.

It should be up on the D pad I believe. Although I strongly dislike the configuration of changing weapons. Always end up with the wrong thing.KY_BULLET likes this. -

What is the "Cheat" not looking for instructions, more so just what to look out forKY_BULLET likes this. -
Yes that is correct, up on the Dpad.
Same here, I always dump my pistol as soon as I find a decent weapon since every damn time I go to change weapons in a fight, I accidently pulled my pistol and got destroyed lol! I guess that's a plus on the update since now pressing "Y" only cycles the primary weapons and leaves the pistols etc etc...out of the loop. -

There is nothing more frustrating than being in a fire fight and having a very solid primary and whipping out a pistol
