My Laptop is 1gb ddr2 ram, 1.83ghz Core Solo , x1600 128mb GDDR2 (not sure if this is the good x1600 or not?), and 5400rpm 60gb.
I was wondering firstly is this the better x1600 or the lesser one is it 64 or 128 bit?
Secondly to play these games better what would i be better off doing getting a core duo 1.73ghz processor or and changing my 1gb to 1.5gb ram which wud i see better fps/gameplay from because upgrade?
-
dunno if its the better one, you could check in the driver control panel or use something like atitool but the x1600 usually comes with 256MB so urs is already missing half the usual RAM. getting more RAM will speed up load times and the interval between them. The CPU upgrade will only benefit if the game is using both cores but i think the CPU upgrade may benefit u more in this case and for all round better performance

hmm wud be bettre proc upgrade or to 2gb ram?

ScifiMike12 Drinking the good stuff
Unless your BIOS supports a newer CPU, I would upgrade your ram.

BF2142 runs great on medium-high settings with 2xAA!
Don't know about Fifa.
The NFS carbon demo runs fine with high settings. -
Well BF is the most taxing and if you note the above, you'll run the others fine. Fifa (Pro Evo) isn't all that taxing a game (Pro Evo) relatively speaking (Pro Evo
)

More RAM will not increase FPS but will greatly reduce or eliminate stutters during gameplay.
