I have a Sony Vaio PCG-K45 laptop and it has an integrated Radeon IGP 345M graphics card. I've been playing WoW for over a year now and have always dealt with terrible fps issues. It's gotten to the point of possibly quitting if i can't find a solution. I was wondering if there was anyway I could upgrade my graphics card or anything else that could help. Thanks

Or to summarize, you can pretty much forget about upgrading your graphics card (in most cases).
WoW can chew up alot of RAM, and even then can perform terribly in crowded places like Ironforge. But if you're looking for a possible solution, adding more RAM might help. -
im aslo wondering... would this system be able to play wow? its ok if its not really fast but as long as you can play decently and do some quests
indel duo T2400
14" widescreen
1GB RAM
Intel 950 integrated Vcard
i know the vcard sucks but theres just no option to upgrade it. -
WoW doesn't need a high end GPU, intergrated works, just that, everything needs to be turned down.
You'll want at least an x600/6400 Go/x1400/7400 Go -
I had a 345 IGP in an old HP laptop. It's really terrible for games. The intel 950 blows it out of the water, in my opinion, although that's still not saying much.
My old laptop got like 7 fps in guild wars, whereas my friend's laptop with the 950 got like 25, which is way more playable. All at the lowest settings ofcourse. So faze you are basically out of luck, no matter what you try you can't squeeze performance out of a card that doesn't have anything to offer in the first place, whereas joms you should be able to run WoW decently at low settings. -
nice. i actually will be using the laptop to play wow if im out or in bed lazy enough to go to my desktop lol. If im into big raids where my attention needs to be undivided, i can just play in my desktop which is setup for gaming....
i was just a bit worried that wow might not install in my upcoming notebook whereas saying "you did not meet the minimum requirements, you cannot install world of warcrarft".
as long as the integrated intel 950 can install wow and load it... then check the auction house.. then its fine with me -
Well I don't know much about WoW I only have experience with the beta and a free trial. But you don't want to move around a busy town with that laptop. Your frames will drop so much that you'll think you are playing a slideshow.

its ok. as long as it loads and i can check the auction house ass well as chat with my friends who are online, ill be fine. for more serious gaming, id go to my desktop. its just nifty to have the laptop while im in bed, watchin DVD.
